I cannot believe I’m about to be 39!! Soon I’ll be bidding farewell to my 30’s and saying hello to new adventures in my 40’s. I’ve been reflecting on how 30’s have been a complete whirlwind of so many new, interesting, and fun experiences. More importantly I have learned so much, both about myself and the world that we live in.
As I near the end of my 30’s I have been thinking about the many of the experiences that helped shaped me into the woman I am today. All of that reflection brings me to creating this blog. This will be a peek into my life so far as well as a space to share my continued experiences. I want this to feel a bit like journal with a hint of conversations among friends. This space will be full of memories, lessons learned, new adventures, and a little bit of everything else in between. I think there is beauty in sharing our lives with one another as it brings us closer together in a world trying, so desperately, to push us apart. While you will get to know me bit by bit through each blog post let me briefly introduce myself. Everyone in my life calls me Tee but online I’m predominately known as BeauTee, a nickname that has followed me since high school. I live in beautiful Southern California though I did not grow up here. Growing up in a military family has made traveling, eating delicious foods, and exploring cultures a large part of who I am. Born with a creative soul I’m someone who tries to find beauty in everything around me. I was lucky enough to have started working in corporate America in my early 20’s. I know most people would not consider that lucky but where else can you be a young and impressionable 20-something and have most of your work friends be in their late 30’s to 60’s. That alone gave me a lot of the cheat codes to adulting.
You will find over time in this blog that I am a bit….random. My interests, my views, and my joys come from an eclectic mix of places and hobbies. If you’re looking for an interesting combination of lifestyle, travel, gardening, hobbies, reflections, and life advice sprinkled in then you’ve come to the right place! I can’t wait to share some of my favorite moments from my 30’s with you as I prepare for my new chapter.
